This review is from: Wildlife Park Tycoon [Download] (Software Download) Unless you've got a manual be prepared to get frustrated with the game at first because you'll have no idea where to click (they slightly glow when the tutorial is going but there's so many it's hard to notice it right away). Once you figure the buttons out it gets a bit easier but honestly I thought Zoo Tycoon really was better. Beware of the tasks in the tutorial, it'll ask you something like put the keeper right next to the feeding bin, but they neglect to mention that it's a specific keeper so I had to put all 4 of mine next to it to pass the task. It's also difficult to select something because it keeps trying to select a spot on the ground. There's almost too much for one person to do if you decide to stay in your own park and build it. In the story mode you go from park to park helping the owners or starting it yourself...if you decide to go on to the next park after completing your tasks it says you can come back but I didn't get the chance to try. This review is from: Wildlife Park Tycoon [Download] (Software Download) I love zoo games, and so I eagerly picked up this new zoo game for $20. I'm impressed with the graphics, but disappointed that the elephants don't stampede park visitors when placed outside the fences and cages. The reason for the -1 star is because the interface is counter-intuitive. The first five campaigns are overwhelming, because there's a lot of menus and buttons to learn all at once. The animals, and plants, have specific climate and ground-type preferences like grass, soil, and savannah grass. More animals and plants become available as the attractiveness goes up, represented by a 5-star scale. You increase your star rating with more animals, and satisfying the needs of the park visitors. The visitors need restrooms, shopping and dining facilities, trash cans, and benches to rest. These can be upgraded as you gain more stars.
