I do need to add a disclaimer, though -- this game is not for everyone.If you enjoy turn-based strategy, trading, tycoon-type, historical games, this one is probably gonna be pretty fun for you. It isn't actually a turn-based game, but I play it like one to micromanage everything, from upgrading ports, timing my departures and arrivals, etc. If you read some other reviews of this game, you'll find a lot of people complaining about how your home port's demand can't stand up to increasing supply. Read below to see why I think they just didn't spend enough time to figure out the game. ------------------------------------------- WARNING: TIP/SPOILER FOLLOWS The key is to take turns dumping a single trade item at a time. The battles have a lot of detail and are entertaining. The games takes a little bit of thinking about the 1600's and how they were trading at the time. The game is not always completely intuitive and I had to do play with it to figure-out how some things worked. But if you don't mind a little trial and error as you play, you will enjoy the game.
